Facility location problems are among the important operation research and management problems. Locating storehouses, hospitals, rescue-relief stations, military bases, bank branches, etc are some of its famous applications. The aim of solving such problems is to determine the best location for the facilities to ensure their maximum efficiency to provide services for customers. Location problems have recently been studied in the light of inverse approach, various classic algorithms for being introduced for their solution. 1-median problem is one of the most famous functions of target location. However, given that real world parameters are not exact, we decided to investigate fuzzy 1-median inverse problem. Based on alfa-cut concept for fuzzy triangular numbers, first we obtain a fully fuzzy linear programming model which proposes a range for different levels of certainty. Then we propose a solution method based on range account. Thus the solution of 1-median inverse problem with fuzzy parameters corresponds to its classic solution. To help better understand the proposed method, we show a numerical example.

With the constant change in information technology and current consumption patterns, the product cycle becomes shorter. Companies must have a complete range of fluent trends, and to develop < /span> new products that are designed to enhance the competitiveness of companies, create profitable business activities. In the age of risky competition in the turbulent market, companies that do not have the research and development process on their products are doomed to fail. Research in development of products in order to study organizational processes, manufacturing methods, new methods of marketing and sales, the cost of sales should be done with concurrent engineering approach. In this study, using the ranking technique of data envelopment analysis, products of Goldaru company are studied and evaluated. Measuring the efficiency of products can be a surprisingly point for future research in order to reduce effective inputs on manufacturing and increasing output of products.

Data envelopment analysis measures relative efficiency of DMUs with multiple inputs and outputs, the importance of identifying efficient and inefficient DMUs and organizing inefficient DMUs have led to paying more attention to key role of data envelopment analysis, Input and output data are not always desirable and there exist a number of undesirable data which affect the efficiency. In addition, uncertainty is undeniable feature of the real world. For this purpose, in this paper, it is attempted to approach the reality by considering undesirable and fuzzy data simultaneously. Traditional DEA divides DMUs into efficient and inefficient, it is not able to rank DMUs completely, therefore, optimistic cross efficiency method is utilized to face with this defect and then the proposed multi-objective model is solved as a single-objective one applying Torabi-Hassini method. Finally, to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the model, a numerical example is used and the findings are compered.

Purpose: Outsourcing is a prevalent strategy in the industry and business, which can enhance the performance of a company and rectify its constraints. This strategy can be integrated into various managerial aspects of a company, particularly the scheduling subject. In this paper, a single machine scheduling problem is investigated in which a set of jobs can be outsourced in a batch to a single subcontractor. It is supposed that the outsourcing time and cost of a job are proportional to its in-house processing time. In addition, a fixed logistics time and cost are also considered for the outsourcing batch. Moreover, the problem objective is to minimize the sum of the total completion time of the jobs and the total outsourcing cost.Methodology: To solve the problem, a set of optimal properties of the problem solution are proven via a lemma and a theorem to determine the optimal solution of the problem. Moreover, some computational experiments are also conducted at the end of the paper to examine the effect of the outsourcing strategy in the addressed problem.Findings: By the developed solution approach, the structure of the optimal solution is determined, using which the optimal solution of the problem can be chosen among a limited set of candidate solutions via some simple computations. Moreover, the computational results indicate the remarkable possible role of outsourcing in decreasing the value of the objective function of the problem.Originality/Value: In this paper, a new practical problem in the research area of scheduling with outsourcing is defined and its optimal solution is determined via a detailed analysis. Furthermore, using computational experiments it is shown that the outsourcing strategy can have a great role to attain the problem objectives.

Vendor managed inventory (VMI) is one of the popular strategies to manage inventory control system, in this strategy, the vendor is responsible for controlling and replenishment the inventory of retailers. In this paper, a bi-objective vendor managed inventory (BOVMI) model with fuzzy demand was investigated for a supply chain problem with multiple vendors and retailers, the fuzzy demand is formulated using trapezoidal fuzzy number (TrFN) where the centroid defuzzification method is employed to defuzzify fuzzy output functions. The vendor confronts two constraints: number of orders and available budget and minimizing the total inventory cost and optimizing the warehouse space are the two objectives of the model. Since the proposed model is formulated ino a bi-objective integer nonlinear programming (INLP) problem, an non-dominated Sorting genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II) has been developed to find Pareto front solution. To improve the performance of algorithm has been calibrated using Taguchi method. Finally, conclusions are made and future research works are recommended.

In this paper, solution space of interval linear programming (ILP) models that is a NP-hard problem, has been considered. In all of the solving methods of the ILP, feasibility condition has been only considered. Best-worst case (BWC) is one of the methods for solving the ILP models. Some of the solutions obtained by the BWC may result in an infeasible space. To guarantee that solution is completely feasible, improved two-step method (ITSM) is proposed. By using a new approach, we introduce a space for solving ILP models in which by two tests, feasibility and optimality of the obtained space has been guaranteed.

Balanced Scorecard used as a tool of strategic assessment and suggested that all performance of organizations should not only be studied financial metrics but must non-financial metrics also be considered. BSC concept encompasses a larger area of the business segment. However, Balanced Scorecard is in practice very complex and in terms of the measurement system and implementation is very successful. But it could be concluded that there are still shortcomings which some scholars have identified it. For this reason were suggested innovative methods to reform the traditional model and performance indicators, such as Balanced Scorecard Knowledge-Based System (BSCKBS), the Proactive BSC Methodology (PBCSM), Lean Balanced Scorecard Card (LBSC), Balanced IT Scorecard (BITS), BSC - Analytic Network Process (ANP) and BSC - Control Objectives for Information Technology (COBIT). In the present study, innovative methods were introduced for reform the traditional model of BSC according to historical recognition method, were studied. The results show that in recent year's wealth of researches is done on the use of new approaches in the field of management accounting in particular BSC, with the aim of eliminating defects in the traditional model and help in decision making for strategic decision making.

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a method based on linear programming to measure the efficiency of Decision-Making Units (DMU). In classic models of DEA, the whole system had been usually considered as a Decision-Making Units to evaluate respective efficiency and it is also ignored the separate processes inside the system. Whereas, the internal relations of various sectors of a Decision-Making Unit can have had diverse structures which cause complexity in evaluating its efficiency, because, the type of structures and the performance of these components would have different effects on efficiency of the system. Network standpoint is one of the appropriate ways for the internal relations of units’ modelling and the relation among sub-units in a DMU may be communicated in series, parallel or mixed way. In this paper, a new convert called Star Structure was introduced as a comprehensive one. The one that every structure existing between a Decision-Making Units’ sub-units can easily be converted to such structure so that can accurately evaluate a Decision-Making Units’ efficiency and also using star structure, we evaluated the performance of regional electronic companies in Iran.

One of the most important issues in data envelopment analysis is the determination of the return to scale class of decision-making units. One of the structures of decision-making units is the two-stage network structure. In this research, we obtain the return to scale class of decision-making units with two strategies. The first strategy is when each stage performs independently, and the input and output of each stage is important for it, the return to scale class is assigned corresponding to each stage and the overall process with this strategy. In the other case, we define the two-stage network structure as the leader and follower model, and the output of the first step is considered as the input of the second stage, in which case the return to scale class is determined based on the output ratio of each stage to the input of that stage. The second stage output to the first stage input ratio is used to determine the return to scale class of the final process. Determine the relationship between the return to scale class and the first and second stages, and provide sufficient conditions to determine the return to scale class. Finally, we illustrate the proposed approach with a numerical example.

Purpose: Location-Routing Problem (LRP) is a strategic supply chain design problem aimed at meeting customer demands. LRPs involve selecting one or more depot sites from a set of potential locations and determining the best routes to connect them to demand points. With the rising awareness about the environmental impacts of transportation over the past years, using green logistics to mitigate these impacts has become increasingly important.Methodology: To compensative a gap in the literature, this paper presents a robust bi-objective Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model for the Green Capacitated Location-Routing Problem (G-CLRP) with demand uncertainty and the possibility of failure in depots and routes.Findings: The final result of this robust multi-objective model is to set up the depots and select the routes that offer the highest reliability (maximizing network service) while imposing the lowest cost and environmental pollution. The paper also provides a numerical analysis and a sensitivity analysis of the solutions of the model.Originality/Value: Determining backup depots and increasing network serviceability for LRPs.

Purpose: The current study aims to provide a framework for evaluating the large projects based on the sustainability dimensions and with agility approach using data envelopment analysis.Methodology: To this end, sustainability indicators, agility indices in project management and project management critical success factors are identified. By calculating the large projects efficiency numbers in each of attitudes include financial, social and environmental, three dimensions of sustainability and by drawing a regional graph based on the projects’ efficiency numbers in both attitudes of agiliy and project management critical success factors, the project performance is studied in both attitudes. Findings: Graphs and efficiency results in sustainability attutudes show that among 27 projects, just three projects are efficient in all three attitudes. In addidtion, to deliver product/service in the shortest time is the meaning of delivering value to the customer with extending the agility in project management. Also, to protect the resources for the next generation, project manager can dedicate the financial and social resources in order to control the environmental impacts of the projects in parallel with the sustainable development principles which which can be translated to be responding efficiently and effectively to the customers while meeting the requirements of the sustainable development. Originality/Value: The project as a temprory organization should be managed in such a way that while adapting to the changes and being agile in responsiveness, it also keeps the time range, cost and qulity for delivering the created product/service. Agility has been proposed as an approach to gain and keep the competitiveness in a changing and unpredictable environment and it focuses on meeting customers needs while sustainability attitude does focus on the reduction of the udesireable affects of the meeting customers demands. To integrate these two concepts in the field of project management leads to the efficiency and success of the project, comprehensively.

Purpose: Warehousing is very important in the economies of countries, because a significant percentage of assets are stored in the warehouse. Proper warehouse design and layout has a great role in reducing costs, reducing lead time and delivery time, improving resource utilization and customer service. One type of warehouse that has become widely used recently is cross dock warehouses, which differ from traditional warehouses in terms of the number of products stored and their storage time. The main purpose of this research is modeling and solving a problem that is compatible with real world conditions that have received less attention from researchers.Methodology: Multi-Objective Gray Wolf Optimization (MOGWO) algorithm is used to solve the problem and Parameters are adjusted using the Taguchi method.Findings: Using the mean ideal distance, spacing, number of pareto solutions and diversification metric, the best possible level for the algorithm parameters is determined by the signal-to-noise ratio diagram. By solving 10 examples in different sizes and reviewing the results and their solution time, it has been determined that with increasing the size of the problem, the solution time also increases.Originality/Value: In this study, in addition to considering the distance traveled in the warehouse, which most studies have done in the field of warehouse design, more use of available space in the warehouse and the satisfaction of retailers has also been considered. For this purpose, a mixed integer programing model is proposed to design a cross dock warehouse to minimize distances, minimize the vacant space of the warehouse, and maximize retailer’s satisfaction.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to propose an improved genetic algorithm to solve the problem of Uncapacitated Single-allocation Hub Location. Previous methods have paid less attention to the diversity of population, and due to insufficient vairation in mutation operators, they perform well only in a few runs, and in other runs they are caught in the local optimum.Methodology: The proposed method uses appropriate genetic operators to increase diversity of the population and performs local search around the best answer to exploit promising areas of the solution space. The use of hub mutation operators along with allocation mutation operators in the proposed algorithm has increased its exploration ability and effectiveness, which has led to discovery of the optimal answer in most runs for large size problems. Also, searching for the local neighborhood of the best answer made convergence faster and reduced the total running time for large instances.Findings: Evaluation of the proposed method and base algorithm on the Australian Post (AP) dataset showed that the improvements increased efficiency of the genetic algorithm in achieving optimal solutions for problems as large as 200 nodes from 2% to more than 85%.Originality/Value: This study showed that meta-heuristic algorithms and their improved versions are suitable methods for solving hub location problems in a short and limited time.

Purpose: Due to the importance of productivity index in the economy, in this article we will discuss the different approaches that are used to measure partial and total factor productivity.Methodology: In all economic and social organizations and systems, the concept of productivity is very important and is examined using different approaches. Without the goal of productivity, no business will find a suitable direction, and without measuring productivity, there will be no control over business. Measurement is the first step towards control and ultimately improvement. Productivity can be divided into two categories, partial and total factor productivity. Total factor productivity in the economy has a significant impact on increasing GDP growth.Findings: According to the results obtained for the Malmquist index of the industrial sector in 2011, the productivity growth of total factor productivity has been desirable, but productivity in the mining sector has had the greatest decrease. The productivity growth of total factor productivity of the economy in 2011 is almost uniform.Originality/Value: By using the real data of Iran in 2011 calculate partial and total factor productivity with different approaches.
