Purpose: It is important to consider the uncertainty in the data, and know how to deal with it when evaluating efficiency by using data envelopment analysis; since the presence of small deviations in the data can lead to significant changes in efficiency results. However, in the real world in many cases, the data is uncertain. The purpose of this paper is to present a robust model of network data envelopment analysis in order to measure efficiency in the presence of uncertainty.Methodology: A new approach to evaluate efficiency for network data envelopment analysis is first proposed. The definitive method presented in this paper involves undesirable output and can be used for different structures in network data envelopment analysis. Next by extending, the proposed model for uncertain data a new robust network data envelopment analysis model is presented for three-stage networks with undesirable outputs.Findings: The proposed model is used to evaluate the electricity regions of Iran. These regions involve a three-step process with undesirable outputs in some stages. The results show that the proposed model achieves the efficiency of the steps and the total efficiency simultaneously. In addition, the overall network efficiency score can be a basis to rank the areas.Originality/Value: The proposed model is a new model in the field of efficiency evaluation in conditions of uncertainty and having an undesirable output.

Purpose: It is clear to everyone that in this period, one of the key factors of economic growth of countries is the knowledge-based economy, and in the meantime, the existence of knowledge-based companies forms the main infrastructure for achieving this important goal. This article was conducted with the aim of developing knowledge-based companies with an emphasis on their business processes.Methodology: For this purpose, business processes were reviewed through a literary review and due to the comprehensiveness of the EFQM model, it was selected for further review. Then, 9 companies were identified as targets, located in the organization's growth center, interviews and the injuries of these companies were identified. Then, decision-making and coordination mechanisms according to the integrity of organizational processes, programs and approaches of large companies in the Excellence Award statement of the organization were reviewed and the approaches used by these companies were extracted and categorized. In this way, the opinions of experts in this field were used to adjust the programs and approaches. Finally, a model based on system dynamics was designed to investigate the key processes of acquiring knowledge-based businesses.Findings: Since increasing the score of EFQM model is considered as increasing the probability of company growth, so it is possible to use this model to provide solutions for the growth of knowledge-based companies.Originality/Value: In this paper, simulation and mathematical models are used to develop the performance of knowledge-based companies and simultaneously analyze the damage of companies and compare it with a comprehensive model, so that appropriate solutions to improve processes can be predicted.

Purpose: Optimizing the negative balance of the financial portfolio of branches by observing the limits defined in the banking system of Iran.Methodology: In recent years, several models have been proposed for the investment portfolio. In banks, Fundraising operations are carried out in parallel with investments. Attracting deposits and repaying loans are the main pillars of investment and form the basis of the resource and expenditure portfolio in the bank. In this research, a multi-objective planning model is designed to maximize returns and minimize risk.Findings: The approach of the problem is such that by taking administrative and personnel costs and interest rates on deposits and facilities and exchange rates of the domestic market can offer a variety of portfolios. The branches select the appropriate portfolio as the goal and work plan according to their requirements.Originality/Value: Due to the nature of the problem, which is hard nonlinear, the model is solved using NSGA-II evolutionary algorithm. The output of solving the problem is a set of optimal solutions on the Pareto frontier. Each of the portfolios is a strategic choice for the decision-maker, according to the level of return and risk.

Purpose: Extent of an application and importance of a welding industry and economic opportunities of this industry need to develop appropriate strategies to pave the way for the economic growth as a strategic industry with sustainable competitive advantage. The high cost of the gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process in a welding industry due to the advantages of excellent welding quality and low complexity of this process requires management. Therefore, careful study and evaluation in the correct use of the GTAW process with financial resources seems to be very necessary. Modeling leads to efficient decision making along with competitive advantage in strategic planning. Today, by planning, sustainability goals and considerations can also be achieved in addition to achieving economic goals.Methodology: In this study, a linear programming model for the problem of minimizing the cost of the GTAW process according to different automatic or manual conditions is presented by a skilled welding operator. GAMS software is used to solve the problem and validate the proposed model. Finally, to evaluate the applicability of the model, four scenarios of the case study are solved and explained as well as sensitivity analysis.Findings: The results show that from an economic point of view, the proposed model can reduce costs and increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. The proposed approach leads to the improvement of the shielded tungsten arc welding process and the increase of management insight.Originality/Value: Mathematical cost modeling can provide a comprehensive analysis of management decisions. The cost minimization model helps managers to understand the cost structure and behavior. Considering the scope of welding application, minimizing the costs of this activity will lead to a reduction in the total cost of an industry

Purpose: Provide a way to consider the validity of the opinions of each expert in the COPRAS multi-criteria group decision-making process using the concepts of type 2 interval and punctual fuzzy sets.Methodology: The proposed method uses general (punctual) type 2 fuzzy numbers to express the values of the experts' options, as the confidence degree noted by the secondary membership degrees. The analyst uses the resulting decision matrix and calculates the overall confidence level using the criteria' alternatives scores. The proposed approach obtains a balanced weight matrix by multiplying the scores of each criterion and its weight. The model calculates the credibility of the superiority of each alternative, finds the final alternative utility, and finally selects the optimal solution.Findings: The numerical example results show that the proposed method improves the Coopers fuzzy multi-criteria group decision problem using punctual type 2 fuzzy sets.Originality/Value: The use of punctual type 2 fuzzy sets to express the validity of each expert's opinion from the researcher's point of view, in addition to flexibility, also increases the quality of the response.
